Chidi David

Chidi David holds a Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Economics from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria. He studied rigorously to be an outstanding Economist with a variety of intro and advanced courses in micro and macro-economics. During his undergraduate study, he interned with RED Universal Consulting between July 2013 to December 2013 where he worked in the financial systems engagement area helping to create a business plan for a project.

While serving as a Corp member with National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, Chidi was assigned to teach in a government owned school Abadina College, University of Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.  There he taught economics, commerce, and government as main subjects.  Chidi was not only a tutor but also mentored students to achieve academic excellence.

Based on his success as a corp member, he was enlisted into the National Investments Program (N-POWER VOLUNTEER CORPS) by the Nigeria government in December 1, 2016 where I was assigned to Akinyele Local Government, Oyo State as a teacher (THE N-TEACH) segment of the program.

After his meritorious voluntary service to Nigeria, he continued his love for economics by developing a keen interest in chart monitoring and analyzing.  With that, he became an independent analyst on oil price using brent-code indices to study and analyze the impact of energy pricing on the global market.  As part of his experience in foreign exchange trading, he studied various micro and macro-economic indicators that impacted energy pricing in the global market (ex: natural gas storage in US; baker huges oil rig count; crude oil inventories; OPEC decisions among member countries) and recently the impact of the Russian-Ukraine war on gas supply to Europe.

In the near future, Chidi hopes to pursue a Master of Science or PhD in Economics or Finance.
